(Reuters) – Apple Inc lost the major ruling in the ongoing obvious battle with Samsung Electronics on Friday, as the sovereign judge threw out part of the jury's $ 1.05 billion damages endowment against Samsung over the variety of phone products. Judge Lucy Koh of the U.S. District Court Northern District of California in San Jose struck $ 450.5 million from the jury's endowment and ordered the new trial on damages for the number of products at issue. Apple won the $ 1.05 billion outcome last year against Samsung in the California court. …
